Ingredients

  1. shrimp - 200g
  2. minced ginger - 1 tsp
  3. minced garlic - 1 tsp
  4. rice paper - as needed
  5. soy sauce - 1 tsp (for filling)
  6. stock powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. sesame oil - 1/2 tsp (for filling)
  8. corn starch - 1 tsp
  9. soy sauce - 1 tbsp (for dipping sauce)
  10. sesame oil - 1/2 tsp (for dipping sauce)
  11. sugar - 1 tsp (for dipping sauce)
  12. vinegar - 1 tsp (for dipping sauce)
  13. water - 2 tbsp (for dipping sauce)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Shrimp: Peel the shrimp, remove the back vein, and chop it finely.
  2. Mix Filling: Put the chopped shrimp in a bowl. Add minced ginger, minced garlic, cornstarch, stock powder, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  3. Prepare Rice Paper: Cut the rice paper into four. Stack three pieces of rice paper on top of each other, slightly staggered. Wet the rice paper.
  4. Form Dumplings: Put a tablespoon of shrimp filling in the middle of the prepared rice paper. Gather the ends of the rice paper together and press tightly to stick together.
  5. Steam Dumplings: Put the dumplings in a steamer for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Prepare Dipping Sauce: Mix 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp vinegar, and 2 tbsp water for the dipping sauce.
  7. Serve: Serve the dumplings hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
