  3. sardines - 2
  4. ground oatmeal - watch the video to see
  5. guajillo chilies - 6
  6. puulla chilies - 6
  7. tomatoes - 2
  8. garlic cloves - 2
  9. onion - 1/2 (half)
  10. parsley sprigs - watch the video to see
  11. salt - to taste (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Roast the tomatoes, half an onion, and garlic cloves. Cook the guajillo and puulla chilies after removing some seeds, then soak them in water.
  2. Prepare the Sardines: Remove the bones from the sardines and break them up. Mix with ground oatmeal, half of the parsley, eggs, a little salt, breadcrumbs, and form into towers.
  3. Fry the Towers: Heat oil in a pot and fry the sardine towers until browned.
  4. Make the Sauce: Blend the cooked chilies with the roasted tomatoes, onion, garlic, and some water. Add salt to taste. Cook the sauce in a pot with hot oil until ready.
  5. Serve: Serve the sardine towers with the homemade chili sauce and optionally with white rice and heated tortillas.
