Ingredients

  1. rice - 275 grams (Japanese rice)
  2. sticky rice - 75 grams
  3. water - 500 ml
  4. hot water - 2 tablespoons
  5. salt - 1/2 tablespoon
  6. tuna in oil - 125 grams
  7. sugar - 1 teaspoon
  8. pepper - 1/8 teaspoon
  9. sesame oil - 1/2 teaspoon
  10. mayonnaise - 2 1/2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Prepare Rice: Mix rice and sticky rice, wash thoroughly, and soak in water for 1 hour.
  2. Cook Rice: Cook the rice until done, then mix hot water with salt and stir into the cooked rice.
  3. Make Tuna Mayo Filling: In a bowl, mix tuna, sugar, pepper, sesame oil, and mayonnaise until well combined.
  4. Shape Onigiri: Moisten hands with water, take a small amount of rice, fill with the tuna mayo mixture, and shape into onigiri. Optionally, use an onigiri mold and then wrap with plastic or nori onigiri.
  5. Serve: Your Onigiri Tuna Mayo is ready to be served.
