Ingredients

  1. No Knead Pizza Dough - watch the video to see (Use your preferred Neapolitan pizza dough recipe)
  2. Semolina Flour - watch the video to see (For dusting the work surface and dough)
  3. Pizza Sauce - about 2-3 tablespoons (Tomato sauce for topping)
  4. Fresh Mozzarella Cheese - about 100 grams (Sliced or torn into pieces for topping)
  5. Basil Leaves - a few leaves (Fresh leaves for topping and garnish)
  6. Extra Virgin Olive Oil - to taste (For drizzling on top before serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Pan and Oven: Preheat a frying pan over medium heat on the stove. At the same time, preheat your electric oven on broiler mode until very hot (around 400°C).
  2. Stretch the Dough: Place the dough ball on a workbench dusted with semolina flour. Press gently in the center and work outward, turning the dough and repeating to form a round shape that fits your pan.
  3. Cook Dough in Pan: Transfer the stretched dough to the preheated pan. Stretch edges slightly to fit the pan. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the bottom shows leopard spots.
  4. Add Toppings: Add tomato sauce gently over the base, leaving a border for the crust. Then add fresh mozzarella and basil leaves or other toppings of your choice.
  5. Finish Cooking in Oven: Place the frying pan on the top shelf of the preheated oven under the broiler. Cook for 120 to 130 seconds until the cheese melts and the top is lightly charred.
  6. Serve: Drizzle extra virgin olive oil on top, add fresh basil leaves, slice while hot, and serve immediately.
