Ingredients

  1. chicken thighs (deboned) - 800 grams
  2. soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
  3. vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  4. rice wine or white wine - 2/3 dl
  5. honey - 1 tablespoon
  6. black pepper - 2 teaspoons
  7. salt - 2 teaspoons
  8. shallots, finely grated - 2-4
  9. garlic, finely grated - 2-4 cloves

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Combine the chicken with soy sauce, vinegar, rice wine or white wine, honey, black pepper, salt, grated shallots, and grated garlic in a large Fresh & Save bowl as shown in the video. Vacuum seal the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Place the chicken on a cold pan and turn the heat to high. Once you start hearing the sizzling sound, reduce the heat to medium and cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Add the Marinade: Halfway through cooking, add the remaining marinade to the pan and let it reduce to a fine glaze, which you then brush onto the chicken.
  4. Rest the Chicken: After cooking, let the chicken rest for 10-12 minutes before cutting into it.
