Ingredients

  1. frozen shrimp - 600 g
  2. spaghetti - 300 g
  3. Knorr vegetable cube - 1
  4. water - 900 g
  5. olive oil - 6 tablespoons
  6. ouzo - 20 g
  7. onion - 1
  8. garlic - 1 (clove)
  9. granulated sugar - 1 pinch (pinch)
  10. ripe tomatoes - 2
  11. tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
  12. bukovo - 1 pinch (pinch)
  13. spring onion - 1 (green part, optional)
  14. basil leaves - 4-5

Instructions

  1. Prepare shrimp broth: Boil shrimp heads and shells with water and a vegetable cube for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the shrimp: Sauté shrimp halves in olive oil, season, and deglaze with ouzo.
  3. Make the sauce: In olive oil, sauté onion, garlic, add tomatoes, tomato paste, bukovo, and the shrimp broth. Cook the spaghetti in this sauce until done.
  4. Finish the dish: Add cooked shrimp, basil, and spring onion to the pasta. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh ground pepper, and basil leaves.
