  6. corn starch - as needed (for coating)
  7. yellow onion - 1 (cut into strips)
  8. red onion - 1 (cut into strips)
  9. green beans - as needed (microwaved)
  10. oil - as needed (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steaks: Rinse and dry the New York strip steaks. Tenderize both sides with the back of a cleaver, hitting at multiple angles.
  2. Season the Steaks: Season with salt, garlic salt, pepper, and oyster sauce. Coat the steaks with corn starch.
  3. Prepare the Vegetables: Cut a yellow and red onion into strips. Microwave some green beans.
  4. Pan Fry the Steaks: Heat a stainless steel pan on high with some oil. Sear the edges of the steak, then lay them flat and pan fry, moving them around for even cooking. Flip about every 2 minutes for a total of 8 minutes. Remove and let them rest.
  5. Pan Fry the Vegetables: In the same pan, add the onions and green beans. Pan fry and season with a bit of salt.
  6. Plate the Dish: Plate the steaks whole or sliced with the onions and green beans on the side.
