  2. olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for marinating)
  3. thyme - 3 sprigs (fresh)

  6. Carolina rice - 400 g (uncooked)
  7. vermicelli - 100 g (uncooked)
  8. butter - 2 tablespoons (for roasting noodles)
  9. lemon - 1 (zest and juice)
  10. water - 1,300 g (for cooking rice)
  11. chicken cube - 1 (for flavor)
  12. oregano - to taste (fresh, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, mix chicken with olive oil, salt, thyme, and pepper.
  2. Brown Chicken: Sauté chicken in a hot pan until browned on all sides.
  3. Prepare Pilaf: In a hot pan, break vermicelli and add butter. Stir to brown.
  4. Combine Rice and Chicken: Transfer browned chicken to a baking pan, pour over juices, and add rice, water, and chicken cube.
  5. Bake: Bake at 220°C for 40 minutes, turning chicken halfway.
  6. Serve: Serve with freshly ground pepper and oregano.
