Ingredients

  1. gram flour - 1 cup (fine)
  2. semolina - 2 teaspoons (fine)
  3. desi ghee - 1/2 cup (for frying)
  4. boiled milk - 1/2 cup (add to batter)
  5. sugar - 1/2 cup (for sweetness)
  6. water - 1.5 cups (to dissolve sugar)
  7. saffron threads - 8-10 (for color and flavor)
  8. almonds - 8-10 (crushed)
  9. cashews - 8-10 (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: In a pan, mix gram flour, semolina, desi ghee, and boiled milk by hand until grainy.
  2. Sift the Mixture: Sift the gram flour mixture to ensure a fine texture.
  3. Dissolve Sugar: In a separate pot, dissolve sugar in water and add saffron. Cook for a couple of minutes until sticky.
  4. Fry the Gram Flour: In a frying pan, heat remaining desi ghee and fry the gram flour on medium flame for 7-8 minutes until aromatic.
  5. Add Nuts: Add crushed almonds and cashews to the roasted gram flour.
  6. Combine with Milk: Pour in the remaining milk and mix quickly to avoid lumps. Cook for 5-6 minutes until ghee separates.
  7. Serve: Garnish with chopped almonds and serve warm.
