Ingredients

  1. black grapes - 250g (washed)
  2. water - 1 cup (for boiling)
  3. sugar - 1 cup (or to taste)
  4. zeera (cumin seeds) - 1 tsp (roasted & crushed)
  5. chaat masala - 1 tsp
  6. kala namak (black salt) - 1 tsp
  7. sonth (dried ginger powder) - ½ tsp
  8. purple food color - watch the video to see (as required (optional))
  9. Himalayan pink salt - ¼ tsp (or to taste)
  10. lemon juice - 3-4 tbsp
  11. ice - watch the video to see (crushed as required)
  12. lemon slices - 2
  13. podina (mint leaves) - 3-4
  14. carbonated/sparkling water - watch the video to see

Instructions

  1. Boil Grapes: In a saucepan, add black grapes and water. Turn on the flame, bring it to a boil and cook on medium flame until soft and slightly mashed.
  2. Dissolve Sugar: Add sugar, mix well and cook on medium flame until sugar is dissolved (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add Spices: Add cumin seeds, chaat masala, black salt, dried ginger powder, and purple food color. Mix well and cook on low flame for a minute, then strain.
  4. Mix Final Ingredients: Add pink salt and lemon juice to the strained mixture and mix well.
  5. Serve: In a serving glass, add crushed ice, lemon slices, mint leaves, prepared syrup (3-4 tbsp), and carbonated/sparkling water. Stir and serve!
