When researching ramen recipes, I stumbled upon this super simple shio ramen recipe on cookpad. https://cookpad.com/recipe/2638743 This recipe caught my attention for 2 reasons; 1, it had over 100 つくれぽ submissions of users trying and it and posting positive reviews 2, With just 7 ingredients, the recipe creator tried to build the 3 of the 5 core components of ramen. I figured since I'm still learning how to edit, I'll do this recipe first and save the intense day-long ramen cooks for a little later. Ingredients (serves 1) 1Tbps Chicken stock powder 1Tbps Shiro Dashi 1Tbps Sesame Oil 1Tsp Kosher Salt 1Tsp Sesame Seeds Black Pepper (I forgot this in the video) 400 ml Water Ramen Noodles I highly recommend using freshly made ramen noodles. I made this recipe twice. Once on the day that I made the noodles in my first video, and the 2 days later for this video. The first day tasted so much better than when I made it in this video. It really did show me how much of a difference good noodles can make to the taste of ramen. Good noodles can elevate even a mediocre soup.
