Instructions

  1. Prepare the rice: Wash the rice three times with fresh water, draining each time. Add the washed rice and water to a rice cooker pot and start it.
  2. Marinate the beef: Marinate the minced beef with cornstarch, oyster sauce, white pepper, and water.
  3. Prepare the sauce: Dice up the white parts of green onions. Create the sauce by mixing oyster sauce, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cooking wine, and chicken bouillon powder.
  4. Cook the rice and egg: Plate the cooked rice onto a large plate. Crack an egg directly into the middle of the rice.
  5. Cook the beef: Heat a wok on high and add oil. Fry the beef, flipping it and breaking it apart. Add the green onions. Splash in some cooking wine before adding hot water, the prepared sauce, and green peas.
  6. Thicken the sauce: To thicken the sauce, add a slurry of potato starch and water, stirring while pouring it in. Finally, add some sesame oil.
  7. Serve: Plate the beef mixture over the rice and serve immediately.
