Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Dice green onion whites, sweet peppers, and garlic.
  2. Boil Tofu: Cook tofu cubes in salted boiling water for 4 minutes. Drain and dry thoroughly.
  3. Coat Tofu: Coat the tofu with half a beaten egg, then transfer to a plate with cornstarch and gently mix until fully coated.
  4. Fry Tofu: Fry in oil at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Carefully lower the tofu into the oil and let it cook undisturbed so the crust can set. Mix the pieces around until they fry evenly and turn golden brown. Drain out the excess oil.
  5. Stir Fry: In a wok, fry dried chilies for 8 seconds and remove. Stir fry the garlic for 15 seconds, and then the peppers and onion for 30 seconds.
  6. Combine and Serve: Add the tofu, garlic salt, and white pepper to the wok. Toss it all together and serve.
