Ingredients

  3. Persian cucumbers - 2 (sliced)

  8. cooking oil - 5–6 tbsp (for cooking and sauce)
  9. mayonnaise - 5 tbsp (for sauce)
  10. yogurt - 3 tbsp (for sauce)

  12. salt - 1½ tsp (for marinade)
  13. cumin - 1½ tsp (ground, for marinade)
  14. garlic powder - 1 tsp (for marinade)
  15. ginger powder - ½ tsp (for marinade)
  16. onion powder - 1 tsp (for marinade)
  17. black pepper - 1 tsp (for marinade)
  18. red pepper or chili powder - 1 tsp (for marinade)
  19. turmeric - ½ tsp (for marinade)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken: Slice the small chicken breast into thin slices.
  2. Make Marinade: Combine salt, cumin, garlic powder, ginger powder, onion powder, black pepper, red pepper (or chili powder), turmeric, and lime juice. Mix well.
  3. Marinate Chicken: Add the sliced chicken to the marinade and mix thoroughly. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
  4. Prepare Sauce: Add minced garlic to mayonnaise and yogurt mixture. Mix well to create a creamy garlic sauce.
  5. Cook Chicken: Heat cooking oil in a pan. Cook the marinated chicken slices until cooked through and slightly browned.
  6. Prepare Toppings: Slice tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, and prepare lettuce as desired.
  7. Assemble Shawarma: Place cooked chicken on a serving plate or bread, add fresh vegetables, drizzle with garlic sauce, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
