Instructions
Brown the Butter: Melt the unsalted butter in a pan over medium heat and cook until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Sugars and Butter: In another bowl, mix the browned butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
Add Wet Ingredients: Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture and mix well.
Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
Bake Cookies: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
