Peel the potatoes under running water and place them in a large bowl filled with water. Cut the potatoes into pieces that are generally the same size. 2. in a large pot, place potatoes and pour in the water. Cover and bring to a boil on high heat. Add 1 tbsp salt, stir, and cook covered on medium heat until fully cooked about 20 to 25 minutes. 3. Drain the potatoes in a colander. When the potatoes have finished drained (about 2 minutes), transfer to a large bowl and mash with a potato masher. 4. Gradually add the melted butter, little by little, and keep mashing until fully incorporated. 5. Gradually add the hot cream, and continue mashing. 6.
