The SIMPLEST but most AMAZING Naan Bread

This is how you make an amazing but simple Naan bread in your pizza oven. In general Naan only has 3 ingredients: 1) Flour, 2) Water and 3) salt. The full grain version of Naan is named "Roti". I am adding some butter and garlic in the end, but you can also skip this. For 1 Naan you need: - 75 Grams of all purpose flour or bread flour - 45 Grams of water - 1.5 Grams of salt - Butter and garlic for topping Traditionally Naan is made in a tandoor oven, but we are making it at home without a tandoor oven. To get as close as possible to the Tandoor oven make sure you use the broiler function of your oven. In this video I am using a special pizza oven which is way hotter than a regular oven. Instructions: 1) Mix all the ingredients 2) Knead them until they bind together 3) Wait 30 minutes 4) Preshape to tiny balls 5) Wait another 30 minutes 6) Heat your oven / butter-garlic mixture 7) Shape your Naan 8) Brush with butter and garlic 9) Bake close to the broiler. 10) Wait until you have the charring you personally like Now if you don't have an Ooni - try upgrading the hydration of the dough to around 80%. That means 80 grams of water per 100 grams of flour. The shaping becomes a little tricker but you can then also make it in your home oven. I suggest using the broiler of your home oven, if you have it. The high hydration will make sure that your Naan's don't try out while you bake them for 3-4 minutes. Don't worry, use a little more flour when shaping the dough balls. That really is no problem!
