Hi friends, today we are making a delightful vegetarian dish from the Persian Gulf region called Pakarah. This is also a very popular food in India and Pakistan, however, you will find it made in most households in the Gulf area of Iran tailored to local tastes. I did not make mine spicy today because we had guest over who couldn't eat spicy, though usually I add a couple serrano peppers. I added them to the sauce instead. Also, please note that you can add baking powder if you want yours to be fluffy. Ingredients List: - One cup of flour - 1 1/2 cups of chickpea flour - Baking Powder (optional if you want some fluffiness - i did not add to mine this time) - One bunch of cilantro - One bunch of chives - Half a bunch of parsley - 2 cups of oil - One onion - 2 Serrano Peppers (optional - if you don't like spicy, don't add, more if you do) - Two cloves of garlic - One egg - One tablespoon of sugar - One tablespoon of salt - One teaspoon black pepper - One teaspoon turmeric - One tablespoon of cumin - One pack of active yeast Dipping Sauce: - Yogurt - Ketchup - Mint - Garlic Powder - Cayenne pepper - Olive Oil (optional) Side Dish: - Picked Red Onion - Cucumber - Coriander Seeds ------- #cooking #iranianfood #recipe #cwy #vegetarian #chickpeas #pakarah #indianfood #pakistanifood #howtocook #homecookedfood #persianfood #persiangulf #bandarabbas #fritters #friedfood #persiancuisine #iraniancuisine
