Make your Ganesha and Prashad at home - Rail Palaharam

This is a famous recipe of Karimnagar of Telangana State and it can be had for breakfast or as a snack. INGREDIENTS: Water 1 cup Salt To taste Rice flour 1 cup Fresh coconut(pieces) ¼ cup Green chillies 1-2 nos Ginger 1 piece Oil 1 tbs Mustard seeds ½ tsp Dry red chillies 1 nos Cumin seeds ½ tsp Urad dal ½ tsp Chana dal ½ tsp Curry leaves 1 spring METHOD: 1. Boil water in a pan with pinch of salt and add rice flour and mix it, later cook it. 2. Make a dough of it and take small dumpling and and give round shape with hands. 3. Place in idli steamer for 15 mins. 4. Take a mixie jar and add fresh coconut, green chillies, ginger and blend it. 5. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, coconut mixture paste, salt and saute it. 6. Add steamed balls and saute it and transfer into serving plate. 7. Now rail palaharam is ready to serve.
