This classical portugal influenced goanese dish has a concoction of chicken ,garlic, red chillies, vinegar and other indian spicces http://www.vahrehvah.com/chicken-vindaloo Ingredients: Chicken 500 Grams Potato 200 Grams Garlic cloves 5 Numbers Fenugreek seeds 1/4 Teaspoons Red chilli 8 Numbers Vinegar 2 Tablespoons Peppercorns 6 Numbers Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoons Mustard seeds 1/2 Teaspoons Whole garam masala (each) 2 Numbers Tamarind 10 Grams Onion 1 Numbers Salt To taste Tomato Puree 1/2 Cup Jaggery 1 Tablespoons Directions: 1. In a mixy jar add garlic cloves, fenugreek seeds, red chilli (soaked in vinegar) and some vinegar, peppercorns, Cumin seeds, Coriander seeds, Mustard seeds, Whole garam masala and add little bit of tamarind, pinch of turmeric, onions and make a paste. 2. Heat the water in a pan, in this add chicken and potato pieces put the lid on and let it cook for 10 minutes in a medium flame. 3. After 10 minutes know add prepared masala mix well and again put the lid on and let it cook for 10 minutes. 4. In this add tomato puree and salt cook this for few minutes. 5. Then add jaggery mix well and put the lid on and let it cook for 5 minutes. 6. Switch off the flame and serve this with rice.
