What is your favourite Champagne cocktail? Comment below... Mine? French 75 any day! Simple and citrusy with a splash of gin! STB Cocktail Crew FB: https://stevethebartender.com.au/facebook FRENCH 75 The French 75 is a slight variation on a classic Tom Collins. Gin, citrus and sweetener but the key difference being a splash of Champagne to give it a spritz as opposed to a dash of sparkling water. Originally the French 75 called for a cognac but it is more commonly made with gin. A great citrusy, bubbly cocktail that I prefer to serve over ice in either a collins glass or wine glass. Chambord is made with a cognac base, red & black raspberries, Madagascan vanilla, honey and citrus - although the decadent liqueur's prominent flavour is black raspberry. The recipe is simple. A sugar cube soaked in aromatic bitters and Champagne. Of course the recipe has evolved ever so slightly and some like to add 10ml of Cognac or, my preference, Grand Marnier. It is one of the most well known Champagne cocktails. It's simple and elegant.
